Abstract. This article is devoted to the study of a new portion of various names registered on Easter Island (Rapa Nui). The interpretation of them is an important key to the rongorongo script. In particular, the names of the Rapanui kings Kai Makoi (I), Nga Ara and Kai Makoi (II) are found in rongorongo texts.
